Photos have always played a massive part in my family. The last photo we have of my grandfather was taken at the hospital three days before he died, holding his newest grandson, my nephew. I snapped that photo and it's now in the home of everyone in my family.
That same year was the first year that we had taken family photos since I was six, I was 17 and figuring out my new camera. We used a tripod and went to town! Those are the only family photos we have with him in them.
That's why I will always tell you, just take the photo! Because one day, all any of us will have left are the photos of the ones we love.
