You don’t need to be getting married, celebrating a milestone, or waiting until you reach a certain goal to book boudoir photos. You can book a session because you want to feel good about yourself, try something new, or have photos that remind you just how amazing you are.
Boudoir is about more than lingerie and pretty pictures. It’s an opportunity to get glammed up, step outside your comfort zone, and see yourself from a different perspective. And you don’t need a special occasion to make it worth doing.

Why Book a Boudoir Session?
There are plenty of reasons to book a boudoir session, and they don’t have to be complicated.
- Because you deserve to feel hot. That’s reason enough!
- Because you’re getting married. A boudoir album can be a fun, personal wedding gift for your partner.
- Because you’re celebrating a milestone. Maybe it’s a birthday, a big accomplishment, or a new chapter in life.
- Because you’re in your single era. Celebrate yourself exactly where you are right now.
- Because you want a confidence boost. Sometimes, seeing yourself through someone else’s lens can be a refreshing reminder of what makes you beautiful.
- Because your body is worth documenting. You don’t have to wait for it to look different to deserve photos you love.
- Because getting glammed up is fun. Hair, makeup, outfits, and a little time focused entirely on you? What’s not to love?
- Because you freaking want to. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for doing something that makes you feel good.
You can book a session for someone else, too, but I hope you’ll make it something you do for yourself first. The photos might be a gift for your partner, but the experience belongs to you.

Boudoir Tips to Help You Feel Ready
You don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing before your session. A little preparation can help you feel more comfortable, but you don’t need to have everything figured out.
Don’t wait until you lose weight.
You don’t need to reach a certain size or look a certain way before booking. Your body deserves to be celebrated now, not someday when you think it finally meets some imaginary standard.
The same goes for feeling ready. You might be nervous before your session, and that’s completely normal. You can show up with a few butterflies and still have an incredible time.
Choose outfits that make you feel good.
Bring pieces you love wearing, not just things you think you’re supposed to wear for boudoir. That might mean a matching lingerie set, an oversized button-down, a bodysuit, or something a little more covered. Your session can be as revealing or modest as you want.
Bring options, too! Having a few different looks gives us room to experiment and figure out what feels most like you.

Take care of yourself beforehand
Try to get a good night’s sleep and drink plenty of water before your session. Wear loose clothing on the way to your shoot to help prevent marks on your skin, and avoid getting a spray tan right beforehand in case the color develops unevenly or transfers.
Professional hair and makeup can also be a fun addition if it’s within your budget. You don’t need it to look beautiful, but it can help you settle into the experience and feel a little extra pampered.
Let me handle the posing.
You don’t need modeling experience to take great boudoir photos. I’ll guide you through posing and help you find angles that feel flattering and natural.
I also want you to tell me what you love about yourself and what makes you feel insecure. That helps me understand what you’re comfortable with and how I can help you feel your best. This is your session, and your comfort matters throughout the entire experience.
