Susie and James’s bright wedding at Camp Hosea wedding was full of color, personality, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. Their palette centered around bright yellows, with pinks and oranges woven throughout the day. From the butter yellow bridesmaid dresses to the colorful florals in the chapel, every detail felt cheerful and intentional. As a Texas wedding photographer, I especially love when a wedding feels like a true reflection of the couple and the people they brought together.

A Colorful Wedding Day

The bridal party looked incredible in butter yellow dresses. The maids of honor stood out in a floral print that complemented the rest of the group beautifully. James wore a light pink linen suit, which fit perfectly with the warm color palette without competing with the bridesmaids.

The ceremony took place in the Camp Hosea chapel. Colorful floral arrangements lined the aisle and decorated the cross at the front of the room. The bright florals brought so much life into the space and carried the colorful theme into the ceremony.

Personal Details From Family & Friends

Some of my favorite details from this bright Camp Hosea wedding were the ones that came from the people closest to Susie and James. The seating chart cards were made by Susie’s students, adding a personal touch to the reception that guests could enjoy as they found their seats. Vintage vases and other decor were collected from family and friends, giving the tables a mix of character and history.

The reception tables combined gold chargers, gold lamps, long estate tables, and round tables to create a layout that felt both elegant and inviting. Even the wedding cake continued the colorful theme with bright icing flowers.

These details did more than decorate the space. They made the wedding feel connected to the people who mattered most to the couple.

A Reception Full of Energy

The party started the moment Susie and James entered the reception. Everyone tossed napkins into the air as they made their entrance, setting the tone for a night that was clearly going to be fun.

The dance floor stayed busy throughout the evening, with light-up foam sticks adding even more energy to the celebration. The grandparents even surprised Susie and James with the cutest “Just Married” T-shirts during the reception. It was such a fun moment and one they will hopefully laugh about for years to come. The night ended with a bubble send-off, giving the couple a playful way to finish their celebration.
